INF offers accessible, flexible funding rooted in Inuit ways of knowing and doing. We support both established organizations and individuals working independently to make a difference in their communities.

Inuit Self Determination Fund

The Inuit Self Determination Fund supports Inuit-led initiatives that center on the needs and priorities at the community level.  The grants will provide Inuit-led organizations an opportunity to advance self-determination and must align with one or more of the Inuit Nunaat Fund’s strategic goals.

Organizational development resources are also available for nascent organizations in the early stages of developing their mission and programs. At the heart of this fund lies our commitment to building on strengthening Inuit identity and advancing social justice.

Applications for this fund are currently invite-only.

Learning and exchange

Inuit Nunaat Fund is providing an opportunity for Inuit to submit a proposal on an idea for an Inuit Nunaat exchange and gathering to share knowledge and experiences on a topic that fits within the Inuit Nunaat Fund strategic goals. These gatherings must include Inuit from across the Inuit Nunaat world and be held in Inuit Nunaat.

We are currently accepting applications. Deadline is October 1 2025.

Inuit fellowships

The fellowships initiated by the Inuit Nunaat Fund are designed to support individuals not affiliated with organizations that play a critical role in advocating for Inuit rights and self-determination. Fellows will be selected from across Inuit Nunaat from Alaska, Canada and Greenland.
